Dreams Come True Music Studio is an inclusive music program for people of all ages and abilities. It is an opportunity to experience the world of music in a fun, safe and supportive group environment. Music spans all ability levels and is an effective educational and therapeutic tool for both children and adults. Participants sing, dance, perform with rhythmic instruments and explore music and friendships. Programs are offered twice a year, culminating in Showcase Concerts. A Music Camp runs each summer.
Director Allison O’Connor began her musical training at an early age. Her love of music and people led her to pursue a Bachelor of Music Honours Music Education Degree and a Bachelor of Education Degree from The University of Western Ontario. Throughout her 31 years as a Music Teacher with The Thames Valley District School Board, she continues developing a love for musical theatre, concert band, voice, and piano, creating self-confidence and success with Music.
When Allison’s son Cameron began participating in Special Olympics, she was inspired to create Dreams Come True Music Studio, where individuals of all abilities would have the opportunity to experience music in an inclusive environment.
